The KRNL protocol incorporates an enhanced Go Ethereum (Geth) client with a GraphQL runtime, which is designed to allow dApps to distribute execution tasks across multiple networks. This structure is aimed at improving the transaction process and introducing new functionality without requiring custom infrastructure. The February 2025 announcement of the cryptographic bridge with Sig Network highlights KRNL’s work in enabling asset transfers between blockchains while addressing confirmation delays and transaction fees.
KRNL Labs was founded in 2022 by Tahir Mahmood and Asim Ahmad. Tahir has an extensive background in technology, including a tenure at Microsoft, where he led OS and programming language development.
