AdHoc.xyz: A creative agency rooted in live music

AdHoc.xyz is the online home of AdHoc Projects, a New York-based creative agency that develops strategies, content, and experiences designed to connect clients with communities. The agency originated from concert promoter AdHoc Presents, and builds on that background by offering creative services in strategy, programming, production, and marketing.

Bridging brands and culture through strategic creative services

AdHoc Projects provides a range of creative services aimed at helping brands engage with audiences in meaningful ways. Whether through strategic planning, event programming, immersive experiences, or marketing efforts, the agency works to create opportunities for cultural connection and impact. AdHoc Projects offers services across four areas:

  • Strategy: Brand strategy, creative campaigns, and business development designed to shape how brands engage with their audiences.
  • Programming: Talent buying, artist relations, festival booking, and curation of music, dance, and performing arts events.
  • Production: Development of experiential activations, concerts, festivals, speaking engagements, and special events.
  • Marketing: Digital and out-of-home advertising, event marketing, and social media initiatives aimed at expanding reach and engagement.

AdHoc Projects aims to support clients in developing campaigns, events, and brand experiences that align with their goals while fostering authentic audience connections.

Exploring AdHoc.xyz: A look at events and collaborations

Visitors to AdHoc.xyz can explore the agency’s Work page for an in-depth look at its collaborations with brands, artists, and cultural institutions. From large-scale live events to brand activations and strategic campaigns, AdHoc Projects aims to shape independent music experiences through events like AdHoc Free for All and the A2IM Libera Awards 2024. In collaboration with events marketplace Eventbrite, AdHoc Free for All offered a free, four-day live music series in New York, providing independent artists with a performance platform while fostering accessibility and community. Hosted at Cheer Up Charlies, a well-known Austin music venue and LGBTQ+ space, the event featured 60 bands, a two-day industry conference, and a vogue ball, with support from music outlets and collectives like Stereogum, Audiofemme, and UMAW. AdHoc’s production team transformed the venue into a festival hub, bringing together event professionals, musicians, and industry leaders from across the country. For the A2IM Libera Awards 2024, an annual awards show celebrating independent music, AdHoc managed talent booking, production, and guest experience at Manhattan’s Gotham Hall, a historic event venue known for hosting galas and industry gatherings. According to A2IM, the event included 600+ attendees, 39 awards, and six live performances. They also reported a 50% increase in fundraising revenue and higher membership attendance compared to previous years, with AdHoc contributing to event execution.

Leadership with a foundation in live events and creative production

AdHoc Projects is led by individuals with experience in live events and creative production. Ric Leichtung, the founder, has worked on talent booking and event curation for venues including 285 Kent, a former DIY music space in Brooklyn, and Baby’s All Right, a well-known independent venue in Williamsburg. He also worked at Webster Hall, a historic New York City venue, where he contributed to its recognition in global ticket sales rankings. Rachael Pazdan, the director of creative production, has produced events for venues such as Le Poisson Rouge, a multimedia art and music venue in Manhattan, and The Bell House, a performance space in Brooklyn known for live music and comedy. She has also developed brand activations for companies including Meta, Amazon, and Johnson & Johnson, and has worked on large-scale productions for organizations like Rolling Stone, a leading music and culture publication, and Global Citizen, an international advocacy group focused on ending poverty.
